As a mature guitar student learning for my own enjoyment, I really valued my weekly lessons with Jake, who has a tidy and professional studio in his lovely home. I especially liked the structure to his lessons and the app he used to set me assignments, send me digital sheet music and answer my questions between lessons. It kept me motivated to practice everyday and I definitely saw my playing improve. Jake also introduced me to some new pieces and techniques outside of my comfort zone, which is exactly what I look for in a guitar teacher. Thanks for the learning, Jake 🙂
Jake is a very talented, patient guitar teacher. In 18 months my son has learned so much and come so far with his guitar playing. Jake asked my son what kind of music he liked and thoughtfully selected songs to teach him. Jake also created some very professional video clips of my son playing the songs he taught him. This was an unexpected bonus that I am so grateful I get to keep forever. I would highly recommend Jake to anyone wanting to learn guitar.
Jake was an amazing teacher, I noticed improvement instantly. He always assigned level-appropriate, yet challenging new exercises to focus on improving fundamental skills, while still making sure you have plenty fun learning guitar.
My daughter has absolutely loved learning guitar with Jake. His teaching methods are fantastic. He explains everything clearly, is incredibly patient, and always makes the lessons fun and engaging. He encourages Hailee every step of the way, which has really helped build her confidence and keep her motivated to practise.
It's been wonderful to see how much her skills have improved and, most importantly, how much she enjoys playing. He creates such a positive and supportive learning environment, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his students' progress. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an encouraging, knowledgeable, and inspiring guitar teacher!
